Matt your doing a great job with the site. Everyone getting here......if you dont know Trap-Lines North is not just another title of the ages. I am 43 yrs old and first read Trap lines North as a 4th grader. I had aquired the book when I was about in 7th grade and have read it at least once a year since then. The story is a true one by a master story-teller, the late Steven W. Meader, who was a master of boys adventure books. This book Trap Lines North was however one of his only "truelife" stories. The interesting thing about TLN (as we call it) is if you have a sense of adventure you will love this book. It grows on the youngster and it endures in the adult. The story could of been repeated of hundreds of familes living among the tiny settlements of 1930's northern Canada. I have recently found Matt and Jo Ann finally. My searches and inquirys throughout the years ended up turning up others who want to delve into the family who, till now lived with us in our thoughts as we think of the story.
