Like many others I read this book in my youth. I am currently 44 and I think I read it in about 1972. I often wondered what happened to this family. My father was not a trapper but was a hunter and fisherman and passed this legacy on to me. This book heightened my love of the outdoors. I do have a question. There was a posting that requests that Mary Sue or some other relative assist with furhter info. Has there been any contact in this area? I would echo that plea to her and any other realative. In today's fast past world I would hope they would see that their father's/uncles lives provide us all with, not just a love of the outdoors, but something that many have forgotten; family.
