The question was whether there were any other books on Nakina - there is another book on the early history of Grant and Nakina as told by the early pioneers and/or their children. The book was written and published for the 75th anniversary of the Town of Nakina and is called, "Sentimental Journeys, Nakina Nostalgia, Volume 1". It has stories about Grant and how Nakina came to be, Molly Hakanson, the hospital, the Finnish couple who owned the Shores Motel (their daughter Verna helped to research the book), the Great Fire, and more. The book has sold out, and is no longer in print now, but I do have a few copies left ($8.00). I have been asked to write Volume 2....and now that we are back in Thunder Bay (we were in NWT and Alberta for 3 years), I am considering it. We have a log cabin on Lower Twin Lakes - and its been great to be back in Nakina on weekends. (Please email me if there is interest to have a copy either mailed or brought to Nakina.)
