Hi everyone! It was great to discover this page on a internet search. Thanks for being here, and Merry Christmas. After years of searching for just the right book ( to surprise Jim ) I just purchased a copy of this book from a book seller listed on ABE books. Jim had read this book as a boy and had always wanted a copy for his collection. He has several of the Stephen Meader books. The book I found is an English edition with a dust jacket. The dust jacket has a black and white drawing of a man on snow shoes with a dog pack crossing an snow covered field. The title is in blue ink within a black border. The Authors name is on the bottom edge, black type, within a blue border. I was not aware when I bought this book that there were two different publishers. This one is from Harrap & Company. Does anyone know which publisher was the original first publisher? we would also be interested in knowing anything about this publishing, given that it was during the depression. Does anyone know if the American Version has a higher value than the English Version? Thanks again! Polly (& Jim)
