Jim's Big Wolf

Hi Jo-Ann. My last post was on Dec., 24th/04 and I'm also further wondering about the present where-abouts of Jim's huge wolf. I do recall reading sometime in the 60's that this awesome specimen of a predator was given to a museum in Toronto where it was made into a life size mount and put on display there. What the name of the museum was I don't recall, but perhaps someone living in the Toronto area and with some investigating skills can delve into this further. I'd imagine they'd need to go back a half a century anyway, but someone should remember a museum exhibit like that. As a prairie farm lad growing up back in the 50's whose possessions were very meager indeed, TLN and it's riveting and cherished true stories were the stuff of real fascination as I would drift off to sleep each night. I can only imagine now what some of the dreams of a young and very courageous Jim Vanderbeck must have been like, as he too drifted off to an exhausted sleep at one of their line cabins with the deep snows swirling around outside and the wind mournfully howling throught the night! Can you hear it too?
