Hi In a nut shell, I am gompers about this book. Matt n JO Ann will a-test to that. I also read it first in 4th grade (I am 45), I have read it at least once a year ever since. I got it for a quarter at a flea market (actually if you want to break it down, probably pennies, if I recall correctly I bought a small box of dusty books for a quarter) At borders 5 years ago I pumped TLN into its database and had three records from rare book sellers that were comparable prices. HOWEVER, they were comparable only at 135.00, 120.00 and 118.00!!!!! I now have three originals, One is a mint, my cousin uncovered in yet another flea market in Maine. He only knew I liked the title and picked it up. It was only AFTER he gave it to me that he found out the $$ it could bring. Unfortunately, when I didnt give it back as he requested, my yearly journeys up there to hike and kayak. Original or the current printing by Southern skies, You truly have a great North-American classic, In our eyes, anyway. Brian
