jim was a very modest man. i don't think he wanted to be a legend in his own time.He didn't really want to talk too much about the book. It was like maybe he wasn't too proud of some things that happend in the book like the part about the beaver and otter being saved for the natives to trap, well Jim told me they did trap them and the pet fisher didn't get away if you know what I mean.I almost had the feeling that Jim had changed and although he didn't say it, thought maybe that trapping was cruel which compared to today maybe was but they did their best with what they had to work with.
